Owners Dan Millet and Cheryl Fenwick first met in Fitchburg, MA. Their first official date was to hike Mt. Monadnock, "we didn't bring enough water and were over dressed but made the summit and back down and only suffered from slight dehydration. Luckily there was a vending machine with Powerade in it, best $3.00 I ever spent! We have been hiking ever since that day". Since that first hike though, they've learned quite a bit and decided to move to where the hiking is best and that's right in the heart of the White Mountains.
"In our many hiking adventures we've spoken to many hikers locally and from around the world and found that the number one complaint was lack of good and dependable transportation". Thus Trail Angels Hiker Services, was created, named after the fellow hiker who, out of the blue, would offer food, water, or a friendly voice for a mile or two.
Our goal is to fill the need of hikers by getting them to the trailhead so they don't need to bring two vehicles (think green) which today is not economically viable. To offer vacationers a guide service to get the uninitiated out onto the woods. To take Appalacian Trail thru-hikers to town for a well needed rest (0 day) and back to the trailhead. To deliver packages (mail drop) to the AT Hiker so they can keep on trucking. To have service to Crawford Notch, NH, from the Gorham, NH area, all around Mt. Washington and to Grafton Notch, ME and all at an affordable price.
So, if you can think of a service we need in our area
or have used our service and would like to comment about it, or if you have met us, please drop us an email, we'd love to hear from you!
Life is short but the adventures are grand!
